Every day, those who work in the Administration, Finance and Control area need to deal with a series of strategic challenges, like using management and business intelligence systems, managing complex international and group relationships, changing national and international accounting principles and managing the cash flow. Keeping skills updated around managerial tools and approaches is turning out to be increasingly important in order to go from being simply accountants and mere agents of decisions taken by others to actual  “business partners” of the Top Management.

Within this framework, the course allows approaching the topics that are critical for the function, to coordinate it at best with wide-ranging expertise, in a very pragmatic way. At the same time, those who wish to gain a vertical vision on specific aspects can make use of the meetings with experts and professors on current issues (business analytics, tools for budgeting and the consolidated financial statements, the transfer pricing, management of company re-structuring, cash management, due diligence, just to mention a few).

The course features 3 modules lasting 4 days each, and each is focused on one of the 3 areas described below (Administration, Finance and Control).

It’s possible to enroll for the entire course or for individual modules. Every module features a series of “Bricks”, lectures on fundamental topics for that given area, and “Chats and Views”, occasions on which highly-experienced practitioners will discuss top current topics.

The course ends with a project work for which participants, supported by tutors, will apply the concepts they have learned to a specific company problem.

The teaching approach is “hands-on”, centered around currents issues and based on the discussion of business cases and professional experiences.

" The Administration, Finance and Control function is nowadays subject to many sources of change: approaches, tools, accounting principles, technologies. Change may be endured, by just complaining about it, or it may be lead, by being aware and well-prepared players. This program aims at creating ‘across-the-board’ and evolved skills for the Administration, Finance and Control function, in order to be true creators and guardians of the company value and be able to grow in one’s own professional journey. The course includes a program divided into 12 classroom days divided into 6 residential of 2 full time days (Friday and Saturday) and a final Project Work day.

The residential units deal with three thematic modules, focused on a mix of lectures, company testimonials, exercises and discussion of real cases.

Second module – 10-11 July 2020; 17-18 July 2020

Third module – 11-12 September 2020; 25-26 September 2020
Finance and treasury management

The final Project Work is at the end of the training course and will be on 23 October 2020.

The registration fee for the entire program is 4,800 euros (plus VAT) to be paid by the start date of the course.

The registration fee for the single 4-day form is 1,900 euros (plus VAT) to be paid by the start date.

The fee includes attendance at the program, all study material available through the online platform and access to Bologna Business School services, which include: Alma personal wi-fi account, use of Computer Lab PCs, use of study areas and access to the internal gym. A large free car park is available in the school park.

At the end of the course, a participation certificate is issued (upon reaching 80% of classroom hours).
The documents used in the classroom and any further reading or exercises will be uploaded to our platform, whose credentials will be delivered in the classroom.
Should a group of colleagues wish to participate in the program, it is possible to contact the Program Manager to evaluate an ad hoc participation price.
Our short courses do not require a specific course of study. It is important to have a few years of work experience behind you that can help you, inside the classroom, by bringing real cases dealt with and solutions adopted during your work.
