Communication Skills

Improving communication in the professional sphere is critical to the success of the team and the company.

This course provides useful elements for developing effective communication in a business setting.

This course will enable participants to increase awareness of their talents and limitations in interpersonal communication. It will also allow participants to enhance the former and reduce the latter. It provides the opportunity to learn specific techniques for each topic covered: from assertiveness to communicating in conflict. In this way, people can have a wider range of possible solutions for addressing communication issues.

The course consists of 4 modules resulting in a total of 7 learning sessions in a hybrid formula: 1 full-time on-campus session, 5 online sessions of 3 hours each and 1 online session of 8 hours.

The course is aimed at office workers, managers and executives who wish to improve their personal and communication skills.

The people who participate in the course want to improve themselves first and foremost as individuals and then as professionals. They believe that relationships with others are a ground to be understood, cultivated, made fertile, and made to grow. They know that any results they can bring home will be all the more profound and lasting the more they have refined a good relationship with the people they have interacted with. To do this they know that communication is the most important tool to know and apply. Listening, understanding, giving and receiving feedback, knowing how to listen to one’s own and others’ needs, knowing how to be clear and direct are all skills that, if nurtured, lead people to often unexpected results both in terms of performance and of relational well-being.

The program lasts 31 hours and consists of: 7 face-to-face meetings with the lecturer, 15 hours of e-learning, 2 hours of individual coaching and 2 hours of certified assessment.

The teaching methodology is supported by an e-learning platform where materials and exercises will be uploaded for study and further learning in between teaching sessions. Each module is preceded by preparatory work: study of materials, case studies, answers to questionnaires and quizzes, tests. Each module will be followed by the participant’s personal work on specific cases.

Participants will have the opportunity to avail themselves of two individual coaching sessions with the lecturer to discuss a specific topic of interest among those covered in the course.

The program also includes a Talent Insight DISC&Driving Force assessment service (DISC behavioral profile and Motivational Forces). Each participant will receive a personal report of their communication mode and motivational strengths, on which they can consciously work to develop and enhance their potential when interacting with counterparts (internal and external clients). The creation, analysis and return of the profile will be handled independently by a TTI-certified professional external to BBS. Thanks to the TI DISC&DF assessment service, participants will receive a thorough analysis of their own characteristics, helpful in understanding what the main characteristics are that distinguish them, the best contexts in which they can express themselves and those in which they will have difficulties and how to deal with them.

" Today, communication between people is one of the most important skills to be developed, in the face of still too little education on the subject. Be it within businesses, the family, the social groups one is a part of, knowing how to communicate consciously is essential. Common sense and do-it-yourself are no longer enough. It is necessary to acquire a deeper personal and personalized knowledge of the topic. That is why it is important to invest in these paths that offer a concrete and real contribution to personal growth and communication skills. "
