Digital Transformation in Manufacturing & Supply Chain

The programme in Digital Transformation in Manufacturing & Supply Chain aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the role of digital transformation in the management of corporate Operations, both more strictly internal (i.e. Manufacturing and Logistics) and throughout the entire Supply Chain.

The programme focuses on the role of digital solutions in the day-to-day operations of companies. The adoption of enabling technologies (i.e. Industry 4.0) must go hand in hand with a profound change in culture and with the aim of ensuring speed, elasticity, decision-making capacity and competitiveness.

Thanks to interactive teaching (theoretical models, case studies, simulations, exchange of experiences) and a faculty consisting of representatives from academia, industry and consulting, the programme enables participants to:

  • Highlighting the potential for improvement in Manufacturing & Supply Chain with a view to process digitisation
  • Knowing the state of the art of enabling technologies and their implementation possibilities, benefits and potential risks
  • Being able to build critical competence to dialogue with possible technology partners
  • Designing and implementing an effective roadmap of activities (Digital Agenda in Operations)

The training course is structured over 7 days, for a total of 8 teaching sessions in a weekend format (Friday and Saturday), during which participants will acquire the soft and hard skills and operational tools to drive the Digital Transformation of manufacturing companies.

Learning approach

Our courses feature a faculty of academics and consultants. The teaching methodology is supported by an e-learning platform where materials and exercises are uploaded for study and further study between teaching sessions.

The course will offer a balanced mix of face-to-face lectures, discussion of case studies, classroom presentations by industry experts, teamworks and individual activities, and company visits.

Faculty

Faculty members at Bologna Business School work together offering outstanding teaching standards. An international and interdisciplinary approach is guaranteed by a joint team of distinguished national core professors, adjunct, visiting professors, guest speakers and top managers.

Networking

Networking takes place between students in the same class, between participants and teachers, as well as with students from other courses or previous editions of the same programme.

COMPANIES

Over the years, our partners have been constantly involved in the various activities that make up the structure of our programmes. Companies belonging to our network participate in project work and master classes; they actively contribute to introducing guest speakers and organising company visits. Our partners are our primary supporters: they sponsor various scholarships, host student internships and provide professional opportunities for graduates.
