Such organizations are more competitive and simply perform better in any industry, that’s why there is an increasing need for analytics-savvy employees who’s interdisciplinary thinking permit them to transform data into relevant insights to influence business decisions and change, with a view towards efficiency and the interpretation of new market trends.

The Executive Master in Business Analytics and Data Science aims to provide knowledge, managerial and technical skills to those who want to understand business analytics in descriptive, predictive and prescriptive way and to seize the opportunity to rethink business processes, with a view to digital change and innovation.

This program equips you with:

  • the skills and tools to collect data, learn from it and make decisions based on it
  • a common language to communicate and work effectively with different business areas by putting data at the center
  • confidence in the analytical and cognitive area to resolve specific problems and to accelerate growth and increase efficiency and productivity

We offer you a rich and innovative experience which combines on-line teaching with on-campus residentials.

The programme is organized in four modules, each one dives deep into how technology contributes to create value, how data help firms extract this value and which obstacles might prevent this from happening.
Every three months participants come to Campus to share an in-person learning experience on how data can reshape their capabilities.

The Master’s programme features a flexible formula: alternating evening-week (Tuesday and Thursday) and morning-weekend (Saturday) sessions.

Core courses

Ten core courses provide specific tools and skills. The teaching activity includes lectures, case studies and discussion opportunities.
At the end of each core course there will be an exam to assess the participants’ learning level.

Digital Talks

4+ opportunities for discussion with international managers. The purpose of the meeting is to share experiences, business cases and best practices.

Elective Course on Python

A brief course on the fundamentals of the Python programming language. You will learn to represent and store data using Python data types and variables.


During marathons called Hackathon the participants, divided into groups, work on specific business issues and critical issues. Each group receives an evaluation based on the work done and this result contributes to the final evaluation of the participant.

Residential Weekends on-Campus

Three on-campus residential weekends (Friday and Saturday) allow the participants to strengthen the value of personal interaction with the classmates and faculty. You will take part in Bootcamps, Leadership talks, and company visits at prestigious companies that are part of the School’s Business Network.

Project work

One project developed in small groups by the participants, putting into practice the knowledge acquired. The project works are developed with the support of the Faculty and are presented on the final day of the Master’s.



This course will share the prospective on how technology-driven world is operating. During the course you will be shown what are the challenges, that you need to confront. You will find yourself in the future, with your prospective that you can use to anticipate the change rather then being a follower in this new technology world.


Today’s digital technologies and devices such as smartphones, smart products, the Internet of Things (IoT) provide companies with abundant data about consumer behavior prior, during and post transactions. This course explores how to extract useful information from relevant data to garner important insights to guide more effective decision making.

The digital transformation is determining significant changes in operations and supply chain management (SCM) processes. Technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber Physical Systems, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, cyber security, data analytics, block chain and cloud technology are radically transforming production and distribution systems. This course aims to investigate these transformations to understand the firms’ ability of gathering and analysing information about their environment can generate significant value to the SCM processes.


This course explores the ways in which new technologies are re-shaping the financial services industry. The course will provide insights on how blockchain, AI and deep learning can affect the financial industries. Students will also gain an understanding of how these technologies can affect the competitive landscape of the financial sector.

Digital technologies are reshaping companies and industries. This dramatic change is forcing firms to adapt to and embrace this change. This course will help you staying ahead of this radical transformation by providing you with a more clear understanding of this new landscape and the strategic choices and tradeoffs it presents.

This course offers students the chance to understand and analyze data. We will explore the fundamentals of data exploration and we will apply these tools to business problems.

The course deals with the assessment of the financial consequences of managerial decisions.
More in details, it tackles different aspects of the topic: the short term impact on profitability, the short term impact on the financial position, the long term impact on the economic value and the strategic impact of the decision.
This differentiated approach allows to manage the trade offs among different dimensions (profitability, financial position and strategy) in order to take more consistent decisions.
Furthermore, part of the program is focused on the exploiting of financial and strategic data through mathematical and statistical approaches with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of managerial decisions.

Visani Franco

This course will cover the fundamental of data mining for medium and large dimensional data sets. During the course you’ll explore how different methods can be used to analyse data, classify information and make predictions. This course will also provide you with some understanding on how some machine learning tools can operate.

Boscato Cristiano

This course will be focused on where data is stored, where are data housing and data lakes, what do all different domains do and mean and how we can relate to them. During this course you will understand how they change the way we do business and will get to know the potential barriers that data storage can generate in your business.

Tazzari Gabriele

Security, sustainability, privacy, these just some of the factors that might influence firms’ effective use of data. This course will cover these challenges and will provide some insight on how data exploitation can be secure, respectful of privacy need and sustainable.

  • time-constrained professionals who wish to improve or implement data analytics within their enterprise.
  • The Master’s program is open to graduates with more than 3 years of professional experience and non-graduates with at least 5 years of work experience.


The Executive Master in Business Analytics and Data Science gives the opportunity to interact with cutting-edge companies through the on-campus smart week, the Digital Talks, and the events dedicated to the BBS community, for which a specific digital platform has been designed to enable interactions between Alumni and ongoing participants.

BBS is making available five partial tuition waivers on a first-come, first-served basis, consisting of the possibility of benefiting from a 50% reduction in the Executive Master in Business Analytics and Data Science tuition fee.   

Each partial tuition waiver will entitle the first five candidates who meet all the requirements neede to pay a tuition fee of Euro 7.000,00 + VAT, instead of Euro 14.000,00 + VAT, in 2 instalments.
