Project Management

The Master of Project Management, characterized by a mixed faculty of academics and consultants, provides both the tools and a methodological framework to address the challenges of setting up, organizing and monitoring a project.

For many years, organizing and managing assets for projects was the domain of large companies operating in the fields of infrastructure and civil and industrial engineering. Today, the number and types of companies working on projects has expanded greatly, especially as a result of the expansion of sectors that offer services to businesses. The Project Management course enables participants to acquire the tools and the correct approach to manage projects in different contexts.

The course is offered over 4 days, full time, divided into two weekends (Friday and Saturday) and explores all the major issues associated with the management of a project: from multi-project management to the project charter, from work breakdown structure to resource planning, addressing both methodology and actual applied cases.

CLASS PROFILE

Structure

We aim at being the reference point for Project Management for our local companies, the objective being to provide participants with a complete set of skills and tools on project management, complying with PMI standards, thus fostering the continuous improvement of their work experience.

It’s a 1-month evening course and it includes  8 classroom meetings in the evening (twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, lasting hr 3.5 each, from 6.30pm to 10.00pm).

The weekend edition features two residential modules  (Fridays and Saturdays), connected by self-learning activities. Lectures are held on Fridays and Saturdays from 9.15am to 5.45pm.

The evening Open Program lasts 1 month and includes 8 classroom-based lessons (two a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays of 3.5 hours each, from 6.30 pm to 10 pm). The lessons of the evening edition will be held in March 2020.

  • Optimizing available resources: resource leveling, fast tracking, crashing, management of the trade offs

  • The risk analysis cycle


Learning method

The faculty’s main role will be to facilitate the critical analysis of issues as well as the learning of tools and methodologies applicable to specific contexts.
Participants in the General Management Program will have the opportunity to interact in the classroom with faculty from diverse backgrounds including management consultants, university professors, and corporate managers, to discuss the best practices of various types of companies.

Networking

Networking takes place between students of the same class, between participants and lecturers, as well as with students from other courses or previous editions of the same program.

FEES

The registration fee for the entire program is € 2.300 (plus VAT) to be paid before the start date of the course.

The fee includes attendance in the program, all the study material available through the online platform and access to Bologna Business School services, which include a personal account for the Alma wi-fi, use of the pcs in the Computer Lab, access to the study areas, and access to the indoor gym.

There is ample free parking in the School’s park.
