Fabrizio De Ponti is full professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Bologna. In the last 25 years, he has been a member / president of several ethics committees in Emilia-Romagna and in Lombardy. Since 2015, he has been part of the European Commission’s expert group for the purpose of ethical evaluation of research projects funded by the Commission. Since 2016, he is a member of the Research and Clinical Trial Secretariat of the Italian Drug Agency. He has collaborated with the Ministry of Health and with the European Medicines Agency in ad hoc groups on issues related to drug safety.
