PhD, Adjunct Professor since 2007 and currently teaching Corporate Social Responsibility at Bologna Business School, Master in Business Management. Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Sustainability Committee at Mediocredito Centrale Banca del Mezzogiorno S.p.A., she has always focused on environmental policies and environmental economics. She has developed tools and methods for socio-economic analysis aimed at the governance of the society/environment relationship. Social and environmental sustainability as a business strategy and circular economy are her main research fields. She has been a consultant for the Ministry of Environment and for the Department of Environment of the Sicilian Region, as well as for other research institutions and professional agencies in the same field.
She has conducted research at the University Federico II of Naples, the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) of Columbia University, the CNR and the Polytechnic of Milan.
She has participated in numerous national and international conferences as a speaker and moderator.
She graduated in Political Science at the University of Naples Federico II, with an experimental thesis in Environmental Policy.
She later obtained a Master in Environmental Policy and Economics at the University of Milan.
She obtained her PhD in Environmental Risk Assessment and Mitigation from CIRAM (University of Naples Federico II) and CIESIN (Columbia University – New York, NY).
The course is based on principles related to the evolution of the planet and the business environment by outlining, at the same time, a new type of manager, increasingly concerned with sustainability issues, achievable sustainable goals and their enhancement: a green manager.
Emission reduction programs, recycling, new production and management processes, and attention to the entire product life cycle are just some of the actions related to Corporate Social Responsibility issues that can be implemented and that can benefit or stimulate the technological innovations we experience in our daily lives.
The topics of the course will include: business guiding principles and actions also in relation to their target areas, National, European and international regulatory requirements, the skills of the green manager, the phenomenon from the point of view of the company and the consumer, operational tools including the new Sustainability Reporting Directive, ESG assessment and sustainable finance.
At the end of the course, the student will have acquired abilities on: how to manage a company with an innovative cultural perspective capable of ensuring the expected economic results by considering its territory as an added value, preserving an enhancing it, and how to communicate its behaviour to the market in a correct manner.
Business Management – Green Management and Sustainable BusinessesThis preparatory course examines the concepts that form the starting points for green management and sustainability issues both from a policy and regulatory perspective and from a purely economic perspective. It provides a definition framework useful in understanding how traditional business models addressed sustainability and how innovative models address it today.
Shows the evolution over the years of concepts related to sustainable development and how the transition to achieve environmental, social and governance goals involves a redesign of production and consumption patterns, requiring a collective and global commitment.
