Faiz Alam, 2014 MBA candidate of Green Energy and Sustainable Businesses, represented Alma Graduate School at this year’s DEVELOPNEUR, and was one of the winners in the Protégés category.
Since 2011, DEVELOPNEUR (www.developneur.org) has been giving the possibility to hundreds of elite developers, entrepreneurs and protégés -carefully selected among thousands of applicants- to produce and showcase early stage innovation, to some of the largest investors and technology providers on the planet. This year’s event took place at Telecom-Paris Tech on March 15th & 16th. The Award Ceremony, closing speeches and cocktail was held at the UK Ambassador Residence – with French Minister, Fleur Pellerin, British Telecom Group’s, Chairman Sir Rake, and Universal Music’s President, Pascal Negre attending the event and networking with the winners.
Faiz pitched his newly launched venture WhoSawMe at the event. It’s a converged platform that delivers multiple social services, which are hard to deliver, due to lack of information. WhoSawMe intends to provide a global website and mobile App for services, that were delivered traditionally using newspapers or city walls. The idea is to deliver maximum information without relying on user data or advertisement. More information about WhoSawMe can be found at http://www.whosawme.com/About.aspx or by watching a one minute video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QH7c971iX4&feature=youtu.be.
Such events provide our MBA candidates a golden opportunity to show case their products and meet potential VCs for Series-A funding.
