GOALS

The Master in Business Management – Life Science and Medtech aims to combine business management with the world of healthcare: pharmaceutical, biotech and biomedical industries.

Bologna boasts one of the most important university hospitals in Europe, and Emilia-Romagna is home to global excellence in the area, such as the biomedical district of Mirandola, which, together with the Area Nord hub in Modena, is the leading med tech center in Europe and the third in the world. Emilia-Romagna, thanks to the supply chain of these excellences, is among the most important areas in the Union for the biotech and biomedical industry. Bologna Business School‘s connection with the University of Bologna and companies in the sector puts the School in touch with the highest quality science and industry.

Company Project Work, MGIncontri – interviews with executives directly involved in the business – and an annual Master Project complete the academic training provided by an international Faculty for a 12-month, full-time, English-language Master that aims to train professionals capable of having an impact on companies in this sector that is so strategic in Italy and in the Western world, with an increasingly older population that needs healthcare and, therefore, appropriate managerial management.

Creating employability is one of the main tasks of Bologna Business School, which, thanks to the work of the Career Service, able to build with the student the future managerial path, and the internship at the end of the Master in one of the global companies, partners of the international BBS network, can offer students of the Master in Business Management – Life Science and Medtech an access to the elite of the business world related to healthcare (placement rate six months after the conclusion of the Master higher than 95%).

The integration with companies is a priority and an ever-present feature of all programs of the Bologna Business School, hence for the Master in Business Management - Life Sciences e Medtech too.
The School is fully committed to creating employability, by way of a systematic career service action, constantly focused on matching at best the students’ professional projects with the needs companies have.
The internship is an exceptional springboard, suffice it to say that six months after the end of the full-time masters at Bologna Business School on average 91% of students work in a company.

The BBS Career Service assists and supports students since the very beginning, along a training and professional development path. This is accomplished by organizing a series of workshops, with the aim of providing the fundamental tools and resources to be appropriately prepared for the labor market.
The goal of the Career Service is also to allow students to connect with national and international companies.
