At the welcome speech, Massimo Bergami, BBS Dean, presented some facts regarding the School’s “optimal state of health”. A production increase of 9.4%, that evidently surpasses last year’s five percent. “Beyond the numbers, what matters is the value generated by the students themselves. By their talent and the results obtained”.Which translates into a 85% placement rate in the job market.
The great success in enrollment for the Full-time and Executive Masters 2015 (464 new students) confirms the growth in trust and interest in the Bologna Business School.
This year’s average age of the 409 graduate equals 33 years, from which 35% are women. “A quite low percentage. One of the BBS objectives will be to increase the participation of the female gender at the Master courses and guarantee more opportunities to them”, declared the Dean.
LEADING IN A DIGITAL WORLD was the 2016 edition’s theme. The Made in Italy and the digital challenges were discussed in a panel formed by important speakers, such as Stevie Kim, Managing Director, Vinitaly International, Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Lamborghini Auto, Luca Garavoglia, President of Group Campari, Nicola Pianon, Senior Parter of the Boston Consulting Group and Romano Prodi, Chairman of the BBS Supervisory Board.
From the discussion, it emerged the need for Europe to reconquer its place in the start-up market; and how Italy should start a serious path in digital innovation in order to keep the Made in Italy’s solid reputation. At the end of the evening, Rector Francesco Ubertini did the proclamation for the new graduates.
The organization for the Graduation and Reunion, the time of the year which reunites over 7000 Alumni from the community, raised more than 40,000 Euros that will be donated as scholarships to attend a BBS Master program.
