For the students of the Global MBA Supercars, Superbikes and Motorsports, the Business Strategy course started by Nicola Boari, Chief Brand Diversification Officer at Ferrari.
In the company since 2010 as Director of Product Marketing and Market Analysis, since September 2018 Boari has been responsible for the Ferrari brand in its various activities, from retail to licenses, passing through museums and e-commerce.
During the first day of the students, they presented themselves in turn, sharing their expectations and the reasons why they enrolled in the Global MBS BBS with the teacher and classmates. “You are all here for a passion - comments Boari – and this year will be a great investment in terms of time and commitment, but also an opportunity to measure your belief in dedicating yourself to such a specific area”.
At the end of the Business Strategy course, the students will be able to draft the product brief of a company in the automotive sector, thus helping to outline the concept of the brand which according to Boari is “the perfect synthesis of brand value, analysis of marketing trends and profits business”.
The course is divided into 5 sessions, including 2 product briefs dedicated to product development in a market driven by technological innovations and the analysis of 3 case histories, followed by the final exam. Among the objectives of the Business Strategy course, to analyze how the main players in the Supercar and Superbike markets plan innovation-oriented strategies to implement their product portfolio and acquire the skills necessary to define a brand briefing.
Before joining Ferrari, Nicola Boeri worked at the Indesit Society from 2004 to 2010 as head of product development, and from 1998 to 2004 he was the manager at the Boston Consulting Group. He holds a Masters in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Ancona, as well as a Degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Bologna.
