What is the future of business education?
Nakiye Boyacigiller, Professor and Former Dean of the Sabanci Business School in Istanbul, explains her point of view on this issue, after the past appointment with Ivano Dionigi, Piero Gnudi and Romano Prodi.

Nakiye Boyacigiller earned her doctorate at the Haas School at the University of California, Berkeley, her MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, and her BA degree from Bogazici University. Before joining Sabanci, Dr. Boyacigiller spent 18 years as Professor of International Management at San Jose State University in California. Her areas of interest are cross-cultural management, international human resource management, organizational culture, business and society, and management pedagogy. She also recently edited a book titled Crossing Cultures: Insights from Master Teachers (with R. Goodman and M. Phillips). Her work has appeared in numerous journals and research compendiums, including the Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Research in Organizational Behavior, and International Business: An Emerging Vision, among others. An active member of several professional organizations, Boyacigiller has held leadership positions in both the Academy of Management and the Academy of International Business and sits on six editorial boards. She has received numerous awards for her scholarship and teaching including, the San Jose State University College of Business Outstanding Undergraduate Professor Award (2001), the Ascendant Scholar Award from the Western Academy of Management (1994), and the Dean’s Faculty Excellence Award (1989). She has been elected Fellow of the Academy of International Business – Academy of International Business (2007).
