McDonough School of Business visits BBS

12 July 2014

Forty students from the McDonough School of Business of Georgetown University have come to visit Bologna Business School from 5 to 12 July.

They are involved in the Global Residency Program, which consists of selecting a number of world cities where to develop consulting projects with local business organizations (either foreign subsidiaries or local companies). Then teams of 5-6 MBA students are assigned to work on these projects under the supervision of a faculty member. The students work on the projects virtually (communicating via Internet with the clients) for about 10 weeks, and then they travel to the various destinations for a one-week visit.

Bologna has been one of the selected cities and Bologna Business School has been pleased to host them from 7th to 12th July at Villa Guastavillani. The students attended some lessons dedicated to the excellences of Made in Italy and the Emilia Romagna economy. They had also the opportunity to meet up with the companies involved in their projects. Among others, BBS planned their visits to Lamborghini, Carpigiani and MAST headquarters.
