Giovanni De Falco: “Direct contact with companies has been the key element of my growth.”

I am Giovanni De Falco and I come straight out of Bologna, Italy. I am a 26-year-old professional who wanted to enrich his knowledge in the marketing field. I chose to entrust my education to Bologna Business School and its Master program in Marketing, Communication and New Media.

At Bologna Business School, in fact, each day I had the chance to face new challenges that brought me every time closer to reaching my goals. To become ready for the business world, the educational method of the School is largely based on teamwork, for reaching together with you classmates ambitious objectives with challenging deadlines. In order to keep the pace you will have to become a very team oriented fast-learner and over more, you will acquire strategical and managerial skills.

The Faculty was composed of academic figures and marketing professionals. This was fundamental in order to have direct experiences in designing projects for real companies and to receive direct feedback on your work.

The people I met here came from completely different backgrounds than me but we were all associated by the same goal: expand our knowledge and find great career opportunities. To collaborate on a daily base with people from all over the world and with different cultures is what for real gave me the best inspiration to open my mind even more, in business and in life.

The location also has to be mentioned because of its greatness. Villa Guastavillani is indeed a great place of inspiration. Its historical architecture and the natural surroundings make your long days of studying definitely more enjoyable. You can discuss business strategies, design a communication plan, devise a marketing campaign or simply be enriched by the speeches delivered by top-level experts in your work/study field, while watching over the city of Bologna and the whole Po Valley from a privileged point of view on the top of the hills.

After my experience at Bologna Business School, I am proud to have such a big institution in my own city. BBS has been able to face modern challenges in setting up an educational offer focused on the most interesting and focal subjects of our time, and I believe that the School perfectly represents the historical and cultural heritage of the prestigious University of Bologna.

I am currently working as a Digital Performance Specialist at PHD Italy (an Omnicom Media Group Company), where I am having the opportunity to apply the broad knowledge of skills regarding Branding, Corporate Communication, Advertising and Digital marketing that I have acquired during my year at BBS. 

My suggestion to all new students is to let this experience embrace you from 360 degrees in an attempt to discover the best side of yourself. That is what will make the difference in your business life.
