BIO

Lucia holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Politecnico di Milano and an Executive Master in Technologies & Innovation Management in Bologna Business School. She started her professional experience in the Aerospace field and then moved to Home Appliances Business, in Whirpool Corporation and then in Electrolux Group. After having covered different managerial positions in R&D organization, in 2011 Lucia accepted the challenge to implement the open innovation model in Electrolux Group: she defined and deployed the open innovation strategy of the company, creating new alliances with external partners, in industrial, academic and financial networks. Now she is Open Innovation Director of Electrolux Group, with the responsibility to identify innovative business solutions in external non-traditional ecosystems. As recognition to her professional path, in 2013 she received the “Alumni Polimi Award” of Politecnico di Milano.  In 2017 she received  “Merit & Talent” award of FEDERMANAGER in “Digital Innovation” category.

COURSES

The value of a digital transformation is to be found in the creation of connected organizations, able to provide goods and services in an increasingly efficient and effective way, ensuring the satisfaction of customers, shareholders and stakeholders. To support the company Business Model, Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, systems are considered, together with the necessary tools to analyze data, in order to guarantee a good decision-making process (Business Intelligence). In addition, tools are provided to understand the software development techniques and the control of the Total Cost of Ownership



CORE COURSE - The course tackles the strategic, organizational, and management aspects related to the development of innovation. There will be a particular focus on the organizational aspects of new product development, R&D, and management of new product development projects.



The activity is aimed at proposing innovative business processes focused on digital technologies and new business models.

The course provides the application of the skills students improved during the classes by developing a practical project based on a real company case.

Companies involvement will be one of the pillars of this course. Companies will assign the project guidelines to the students, building them around the class profile, and will supervise the development of their projects, giving help if needed.
