Massimo Bergami is the Dean of Bologna Business School and full Professor of Business Administration at the University of Bologna. He works with organizational identity, leadership and motivation, creativity, and general management of the companies making up the Made in Italy brand. He is a Senior Advisor of the MAST Foundation, Chairman of the EMBA Consortium for Global Business Innovation and Guest Professor at the MIRBIS (Moscow) and Nankai University Business School (Tiajin, China). He is a board member of Brunelli Cucinelli S.p.A after he has been an independent board member of Telecom Italia Media, Ducati Motor Holding, Ferretti S.p.A, r, and the University of Tuscia. He founded and directed StartCup (the first business plan competition in Italy) and is a member of the Advisor Board of the Fulbright Best program. He received his PhD in Business Administration at the University of Bologna, attended the International Teachers Program (ITP) at the Stern School of Business (New York University) and has been a Visiting Scholar at the Ross School of Business (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor), SDA Bocconi (Bocconi University, Milan) and the Warrington College of Business (University of Florida, Gainesville).


CORE COURSE - The power to choose, motivate and lead people is one of the key skills required to "make things happen" in business. This course aims to develop self awareness among participants about their leadership styles through experiential learning. Sessions will alternate among completion of tasks, behavioral self awareness, and interaction with professionals and managers who have guided companies and organizations to excellence.

CORE COURSE – The course provides the essential tools for managing working groups and personal development. Businesses increasingly need developing a collective, widespread leadership, able to combine the need of taking decisions with the need to listen; the need of letting individuals' potential emerge with the need of mediating among different requirements. The modern world increasingly needs people who are more able to express themselves and more able to be together. Specifically, the aim of this course is to provide the basic tools to achieve these objectives.

CORE COURSE - Guiding people, directing them towards important objectives requires many skills. Two are essential: communication and creativity. This course is intended to provide insights and practical tools for developing innovative and effective behaviors. Topics that will be examined are linked to the mental processes which either favour or block communication and creativity. Viewpoints from worlds other than management will also be provided, in order to achieve a stimulating and creative approach to team management and the business world.
