The 2018 Innovation Talks open the Spring Edition with the Director of La Repubblica Mario Calabresi and the event Stories of Organizational Innovation. The appointment is organized in collaboration with Philip Morris Italia.
After his studies in Law and History at the University of Milan, Mario Calabresi attended the "Carlo de Martino" training institute for journalism in Milan.
In 1998 he entered the ANSA agency as a parliamentary reporter, while in 1999 he moved to "La Repubblica", in the political editorial office. From 2000 to 2002 he was in "La Stampa", for which, as a special correspondent, he recounted the attacks of 11 September 2001. In 2002 Calabresi returned to "La Repubblica", as central deputy editor-in-chief, and since 2007 has been a correspondent for the newspaper from New York, from where he reported about the 2008 presidential election campaign.
On April 2009, at the age of 39, he was appointed director of La Stampa, the newspaper he ran until December 2015, when he replaced Ezio Mauro in the direction of La Repubblica.
In addition to other numerous awards received during his career, in 2011 he was awarded the prize "È giornalismo". Since June 2011, he presented the prime time show Hotel Patria on the third channel of the Italian national television.
Mario Calabresi is the author of several books, including Pushing the night ahead (Spingendo la notte più in là - Mondadori, 2007), a book dedicated to the victims of terrorism and What keeps the stars on (Cosa tiene accese le stelle - Mondadori 2011), an anthology of conversations with illustrious Italians. In 2015 the collection of generational stories Do not worry for us, our life will be wonderful (Non temete per noi, la nostra vita sarà meravigliosa) has been published by Mondadori.
