Innovation Talk with Stephan Winkelmann

Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO, Automobili Lamborghini will be the fourth protagonist of the Innovation Talks and Francesco Ubertini Rector, University of Bologna President, BBS will attend as discussant.


Stephan Winkelmann was appointed President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group’s Audi, in January 2005.
Mr. Winkelmann, who was born in Berlin and raised in Rome – served for a decade in international marketing and sales roles for Fiat Auto prior to being named CEO of Fiat Auto Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
Winkelmann also worked for Mercedes-Benz and for a German financial institution prior to focusing on his passion for the automotive industry.

Founded in 1963, Automobili Lamborghini is headquartered in Sant’Agata Bolognese, in Northeastern Italy. There it manufactures some of the world’s most sought-after super sports cars. With the presentation of the Huracán LP 610-4, Lamborghini offers a new dimension in luxury super sports cars.

Automobili Lamborghini’s growth since Winkelmann’s arrival has been recognised as one of the most successful turnaround programmes in the automotive and luxury sectors. Since taking the helm, he has implemented a business strategy based on three major pillars.
