April 3, 2019

In recent years, the labor market has undergone, but also faced, significant changes. Along with the market, the new “rules” affected also the many candidates that are approaching for the first time the world of work or are seeking new professional challenges.

It has changed the way of presenting ourselves, with personal branding, and the way we interact with each other, with professional networking. Like in any other moment of transition, opportunities are unlimited, but one must know how to recognize, manage and exploit them. The Bologna Business School’s Career Service is alongside its students and Alumni during the development of their potential and their professional growth.

Each Master includes a Career Curriculum which aims to provide students with the basic tools, knowledge and skills to design and define a career path in line with their individual attitudes and preferences. The BBS Career Curriculum includes the following seminars:

  • how to write a CV and cover letter,
  • how to create an effective LinkedIn profile,
  • how to prepare and deal with a job interview.

Throughout the year, each student conducts guidance interview with a Career Counselor, who helps to highlight the potential and identify the right company and industry to get an internship in line with the students’ profile and background.

The primary objective is to connect BBS’s talents with business partners, both national and international, through on campus activities that can be dealt with in various ways: business presentations, career days, on campus interviews, business games.

The BBS Career Service also organizes activities for the Executive Alumni such as the Career Development Seminars, a cycle of workshops on topics of great importance for those who want to present themselves to the recruiters in the most effective way: writing the curriculum, the job interview and wage negotiation. Another initiative are the Professional Speed Dates, organized to connect our Alumni and HR Professionals: short interviews, 30 minutes each, not only to identify suitable profiles for ongoing selections, but also to give constructive feedback to the candidates.

The BBS Career Service also offers customized services to the partners of Bologna Business School, helping companies identify the right approach to their recruitment needs. Companies have the opportunity to make a corporate presentation on campus, convey an internship / job offer among our students and Alumni and ask for our CV books. A flexible and tailor-made service to bring BBS’s best talents directly into the companies.

BBS believes in a structured and constantly expanding professional network, essential for the success of its students and Alumni.
