Global MBA: A Year of Growth, Connections, and Discoveries

These are the five tracks of a unique and invaluable experience that each year marks a turning point for a generation of enthusiastic participants at BBS: the Global MBA. An exciting journey, rich in opportunities for growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences, characterized by fundamental values expressed not only in the classroom but also through a series of practical activities in close contact with businesses. The goal? To provide students with the skills and mindset necessary to excel in the professional world. But that’s not all. In fact, the essence of the Global MBA is to build a solid Life Network, a world of connections destined to last over time.

Another strength of the Global MBA is the direct connection with companies. Thanks to visits to leading companies such as Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team, Ferrari, Officine Gullo, Zonin 1821, Dallara, and Ducati, participants were able to delve into different sectors, closely touch the professional realities they may enter, experience the excellence of Made in Italy, and see how theory can transform into practice through innovation.

Experiences that open the mind, stimulate the spirit of discovery and curiosity. And this very spirit has become a driving force that allowed participants to enthusiastically engage in activities such as exploring the sustainable initiatives of the Municipality of Bologna by the track in Green Energy and Sustainable Businesses or meeting the internationally renowned sculptor Jago. Moments that further enriched the educational journey, offering new perspectives and creative stimuli.

“Growth certainly means refining one’s technical skills: this is why it is important to live the year with the utmost commitment, immerse oneself in both educational and extracurricular experiences, and discover how every notion learned in the classroom becomes a concrete ability to apply in the working world,” said Marcello Russo, Director of the Global MBA at BBS. “But that’s not all. It is the soft skills, teamwork, passion, energy, and the desire to excel that allow one to make the most of this fantastic year. It has been an exceptional class capable of establishing mechanisms of mutual help and support, which has enabled everyone to successfully reach the final goal. Ad maiora.”

The passion for excellence was palpable in all the company visits conducted throughout the year: from Ferrari to Ducati, passing through Dallara and the extraordinary experience with the Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team. Here, students experienced firsthand the dedication and drive that fuel success.

The visit to Zonin 1821 represented another memorable moment, during which students felt the positive energy of a company that makes Italian tradition its strength. Just as Officine Gullo perfectly embodied the theme of the ability to innovate while staying true to tradition. Here, in fact, students witnessed the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, discovering how companies can preserve their heritage while embracing the future. Through leadership talks with influential figures like Natasha Leanhart, CEO of Atlante, students also had the opportunity to cultivate a professional mindset and understand the importance of developing their lateral thinking skills. These sessions were fundamental in shaping a flexible, adaptable approach to leadership and innovation. A fundamental quality that cannot be taught: it must be experienced.

And speaking of memorable experiences, it is impossible not to mention the meeting with Mauricio Macri, former President of Argentina and Boca Juniors, with whom students had the rare opportunity to participate in a padel match, putting into practice the lessons learned on leadership and personal determination, as well as the desire to win through teamwork. People are always at the center in BBS.
