Generative A.I. as a driver of transformation for businesses: innovation and the future take center stage at BBS

BBS hosted the event “Technology and Innovation in the Era of Generative A.I.,” a discussion exploring the transformative potential of generative artificial intelligence in the technological and entrepreneurial landscape. The evening began with an opening address by Rosa Grimaldi, Full Professor at the University of Bologna and Academic Director of the Executive Master in Technology and Innovation Management at Bologna Business School.

This was followed by a keynote speech from Pierluigi Contucci, Full Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bologna, who delivered an enlightening perspective on the potential of Generative A.I. as a driver of technological innovation.

  • Andrea Pontremoli, CEO of Dallara Automobili and Executive Director of the Executive Master in Technology and Innovation Management, shared his vision of an evolving industry, emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence in engineering and design.
  • Stefano Spaggiari, Founder of expert.ai, explained how artificial intelligence can transform decision-making processes and create value across various industries.
  • Federico Canini, R&D Director and Vice President at Datalogic Labs, discussed the practical applications of A.I. technologies in the logistics and automation sectors.

The debate, moderated by Laura Toschi, Associate Professor at the University of Bologna and Deputy Director of the Executive Master in Technology and Innovation Management, fostered a dynamic and interdisciplinary exchange between academia and industry.
