Simone Napolitano is Assistant Professor at the Management department of the University of Bologna. In BBS he tutors the Laboratory of Business Development of the Food & Wine MBA program. His main area of interests include research on creativity, innovation, and power dynamics in industrial and cultural fields; thanks to a broad portfolio of collaboration with companies (among others, Coesia Group, Fabbri 1905, Bain, TIM, Qualcomm and Nokia) and institutional actors (such as Regione Emilia Romagna), he’s experienced in designing and leading educational projects aimed at developing participants’ entrepreneurial competences such as business modelling, fundraising and development. After completing his PhD in Management at the University of Bologna, he spent visiting periods in the US (Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania) and UK (The Business School, City University of London). Beside Italian (mother tongue), he speaks fluently English and Portuguese.
Participants in the program will actively work on business development concepts during a project that does not just entail the practical application of theoretical issues but a “learning by doing” project, during which they will discuss, analyze and work with a hands-on approach. Participants in the project will be led by a manager in order to develop a challenging real-life, long-term project of business redefinition, launch and development, where not only the analysis is important but also planning for the implementation stage.Food and Wine
