Benedetta Siboni is an associate professor of Business Administration and Accounting Studies at the University of Bologna and has been an examiner for the Sulitest in BBS. She has authored more than 100 publications some appearing in leading journals on her main research interests covering: public value, sustainability, gender accounting, intellectual capital, local government, universities, the health sector, nonprofit organizations, and the history of accounting. Siboni is PhD in Business Administration from the University of Pisa, Visiting Scholar at Royal Holloway University of London School of Management (September 2008 to February 2009), Member of Promoting gender balance and inclusion in research, innovation and training (Plotina), HORIZON 2020, Grant Agreement: 666008 (February 2016 to January 2020). Member of six Editorial Boards of scholarly journals, including: Accounting, Auditing & Accountability; International Journal of Financing and Accounting Studies; Meditari Accountancy Research, Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting & Financial Management, Trends in Higher Education. He has organized several international conferences on the topics of sustainability, gender, accountability, accounting, in the public sector. At the University of Bologna from November 2017 to December 2020, she chaired the Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunity, Workers’ Welfare and Non-Discrimination at Work (CUG) and was a member of the Scientific Committee for Gender Budgeting and the Technical Scientific Committee for Sustainability Reporting (formerly the Group on Social Reporting), from 2013 to 2020 and the Scientific Committee for Gender Budgeting (from 2016 to 2020). Siboni was a member of the Scientific Committee of the Foundation of Chartered Accountants of Forli’-Cesena (from 2017 to 2022) and of the Committee of Experts of Romagna Next, the first national “laboratory” of interprovincial strategic planning (2020/2021), as well as a Member of the Committee of Experts that oversaw the Drafting of the Guidelines on Gender Language in the University appointed by the CRUI Commission for Gender Issues (2018/2019) and of the Group on Social Reporting, which formulated the draft “Guidelines for Social Reporting in Local Authorities,” approved by the Observatory for Finance and Accounting of Local Authorities in 2007. She was a member of the Evaluation Body of the Municipality of Forli (from 2017 to 2019) and a member of the Board of the Livio and Maria Garzanti Onlus Foundation in Forli (from 2015 to 2016).
