She received the MSc degree in Aeronautical Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino (Torino Technical State University), Italy in July 1970. She defended a thesis on the stability of the supersonic aircraft Concorde. The thesis was in part carried out at the manufacturing company in UK.
During the years at Politecnico di Torino, she was supervisor of several national and international research activities in the field of theoretical and experimental Flight Mechanics and experimental Aerodynamics, Flight Simulation, Flight Control and design of Micro and Mini unmanned aerial vehicles.
A number of experimental researches were carried on in collaboration with the Canadian National Research Council. As an example, she was member of the NATO AGARD Working group on the study of aircraft performances at High angles of Attack.
She was Director of the Aerospace Engineering PhD program at the Doctoral School of Politecnico di Torino, since December 2014 for eight years.
She is Member of the Aerospace Commission of the Engineers Association in Torino, Italy.
She is member (until June 2023 CEO) of MAVTech Governing Board, a small spin-off company of Politecnico di Torino up to 2015.
