Education: Paolo Ferri obtained his Ph.D. in Management from the University of Bologna in 2012. He holds a master’s degree in Innovation and Organization of Culture and Arts.

Academic Career: Before becoming an associate professor at UNIBO, Paolo Ferri worked as an Assistant Professor at UNIBO (2016-2019), lecturer in Accounting at RMIT University in Melbourne (2015-2016), and post-doctoral fellow at the Stockholm Business School (2013-2015). He has also taught at the Singapore Institute of Management and UPH (Jakarta).

Teaching Activities: Paolo Ferri is the director of the GIOCA course, where he also teaches Business Models in Creative Industries. Additionally, he teaches accounting to CLABE students and cost accounting to CLEA students.

Research Activities: Paolo Ferri’s research focuses on the study of change and innovation in the accountability systems of complex and professional organizations. His research has been primarily conducted in cultural organizations such as museums, archaeological sites, and opera theaters. His work has been published in Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, Accounting History, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Journal of Management of Governance, Financial Accountability & Management, and European Accounting Review.

COURSES

This course focuses on the main components of accounting, budgeting and cost analysis. In addition the course will train students on how to analyze economic-financial forecasts and budgets as well as understand the measurement and interpretation of the economic-financial performance of the company. Calculation and analysis in decision-making, management supervision, strategic control and strategic cost management will also be explored.
