Mauro D’Errico is the president of Fragesa Srl, the company that owns the “Fradiavolo” pizza chain. Mauro has been an entrepreneur in the restaurant industry for over 20 years, although his educational background is unusual for this sector: he holds a degree in Political Science and an EMBA from BBS. Before Fragesa, he held a senior management role in a major luxury hotel chain. He was also the co-founder of a tourism consortium in the province of Varese, through which he won a significant European grant for the development of a tourism product based on soft and sustainable mobility.
With Fradiavolo, he challenged long-established norms in the pizza industry, successfully revolutionizing a production model that had remained largely unchanged for over a hundred years. He introduced significant technological innovations, such as process engineering, automation, the use of advanced IT systems, ERP, and CRM, making the model perfectly scalable and replicable both in Italy and abroad, thereby creating a seamless blend of tradition and innovation.
