Jelena Loncarski graduated in Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. In 2014, she received her PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Energy and Information Engineering ‘Guglielmo Marconi’, University of Bologna. From 2014 to 2020 she was a pdoc at the Department of Engineering Sciences, Uppsala University (Sweden) (2014-2016) and at the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Politecnico di Bari (Italy) in (2019-2021). Jelena was a temporary researcher at the Department of Electrical Energy and Information Engineering ‘Guglielmo Marconi’, University of Bologna, Cesena campus in (2021-2024).
He is Associate Editor for IET Power Electronics Journal and Topic Editor for MDPI Electronics. In addition, he is Guest Editor of several ‘special issues’ for international journals. His research interests include power electronic circuits and converters for electric drives and renewable energy sources, with a special interest in sustainability and electric mobility. In the course of his career, he has received several awards: Erasmus Mundus PhD scholarship (2011-2014); Fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Studies, University of Bologna (2011-2014); Marco Polo scholarship (exchange grant) with Technical University of Graz (2012); Springer Thesis Award (2014).
