Sergio Gilotta is a researcher in commercial law at the University of Bologna qualified as a second-rank professor, where he teaches commercial law and law of financial markets. In 2010 he got his PhD in law of companies and financial markets at the University of Bologna and in 2009 the master’s degree in law (LL.M.) at Harvard. Before becoming a researcher, he was a Adjunct Professor of international trade law at the University of Bologna and a research fellow at the University of Florence. His research interests are primarily focused on corporate and financial market law and focus on issues such as corporate information, groups, financial derivative contracts, insider trading and corporate control transfer transactions. He is the author of two monographs and numerous other national and international publications on these topics.
