Dr. Francesca Bonetti is a Visiting Professor in Marketing at the University of Bologna, where she leads the course on Omnichannel Retailing at the BBS. She is also a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) of Marketing at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, and a Visiting Professor at universities across Europe, the USA and Asia. She is currently a Visiting Scholar at University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, conducting a research project on technological innovation in the fashion and creative industries across the USA West Coasts, UK and Europe. She is recipient of the British Academy/ Leverhulme Small Research Grants SRG 2022 and of the IFFTI Junior Faculty Initiative Award.
She is a marketing strategist, and her research interests are at the intersection of technology innovation, retailing and social practices, across markets and cultures. Her PhD (University of Manchester, UK, 2020) explored retail digital transformation and the adoption of consumer-facing technology. Her work is published in Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, European Journal of Marketing and Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, among others, and in a number of books. Francesca has several years of experience lecturing International students at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
She has extensive international industry experience in marketing communications and business development in the apparel sector, where she currently consults.
