Giovanni graduated in economics with a specialisation in statistics and econometrics.
Giovanni was previously appointed as both Deputy Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) and Head of Equity of Fideuram Asset Management in Dublin (“Fideuram”), where he started working in Dublin approximately 14 years ago as a fund manager focused on US markets before moving to the global equity team in Fideuram. In Giovanni’s previous role he had been responsible for investment flows, launch of new funds, asset allocation and the Fideuram’s global, US and European absolute return products. In addition, he had been responsible for two ESG funds, one of which he had been closely involved in the day to day establishment and launch of such fund. Giovanni also has a broad experience in the management of funds of funds and in the investment of various types of asset classes.
Before his experience in Dublin, he was based in Italy working for different asset management company from 1997 until 2007 covering different roles as portfolio analyst at the beginning of his carrier and as fund manager with increasing experience at the end.
Giovanni has extensive experience in working in the financial markets dealing with various asset classes as he began his career as an analyst working on equities and fixed income securities, then as a Portfolio Manager he was involved in managing different products with various assets based on country locations, to multi asset to thematic and total return funds. Giovanni is well experienced in evaluating assets such as equities and fixed income securities and he’s been using numerous types of derivative instruments actively, including for hedging purposes in the funds he has managed.
