Clio is Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna – Department of Management and is part of Bologna Business School faculty. She is an innovation scholar, she works in Oper.space, Factory for Innovation of the University of Bologna, where she coordinates Oper.lab (Observatory for open innovation).
She received her PhD in General Management at the University of Bologna, she was a visiting scholar at Cass Business School (2014), at HPI Hasso Plattner Institute (2020), at Esade business school (2022). She is also part of the SUGAR network of Stanford DSchool (2014 – UniMoRe & Paris DSchool) and of European network of IdeaSquare at CERN in Geneva (2014-2018).
Her research is focused on the organizational dynamics that enable innovation, mainly at the group-level and at the organizational level (processes and competences). She is passionate at understanding how organizations manage and design innovation, with an interest in tools selection (e.g., prototypes as boundary objects and simulation) and innovation design methodologies (e.g., design thinking).
In her research, she collaborates with knowledge-intensive companies (e.g., healthcare sector) and research centers – both public and private.
She designs educational programs to support the growth of students and professionals as innovation players.
