We would like to welcome 2015 with the lecture of a great Italian entrepreneur, Oscar Farinetti, Founder and President of Eataly .
Oscar Farinetti, born in Alba (Turin) in 1954, is considered one of the greatest Italian entrepreneurs, having managed to spread and promote the Made in Italy in the world of food and wine.
He has contributed to developing the supermarket Unieuro founded by his father in 1967, later becoming a chain of supermarkets of national importance, specialized in electronics. In 1978 he became a member of the board of directors, then managing director and then president until 2003. Later on, Unieuro was sold to the public retail consumer electronics company, Dixons Retail, based in Hemel Hempstead (UK).
