BBS Leadership Lecture | Lihi Zelnik-Manor

On MondayFebruary 20th, at 6 p.m., the BBS Leadership Lecture Digitizing Touch” with Lihi Zelnik-Manor, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering | Technion Israel Institute of Technology will be held at Villa Guastavillani.

Lihi Zelnik-Manor joined the Technion in 2007 and is a Full Professor of Electrical Engineering. Before that, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). She holds a Ph.D. and an M. Sc. (with honors) in Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science and a BSc (summa cum laude) in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion.

Zelnik-Manor’s awards and honors include the Israeli high-education planning and budgeting committee (Vatat) scholarship for outstanding Ph.D. students, the Sloan-Swartz postdoctoral fellowship, the Best Student Paper Award at the IEEE SMI’05, the AIM@SHAPE Best Paper Award 2005 and the Outstanding Reviewer Award at CVPR’08. She is also a recipient of the Gutwirth prize for the promotion of research and several grants from ISF, MOST, the 7th European R&D Program, and others. Her research is focused mostly on computer vision.

Digitization is one of the most important issues within the current business landscape. Processes and challenges are increasingly being addressed through digital evolution and related means. However, the human component in the decision-making sphere retains a vital role that can chart the way and choose the path to the future.
