Company visit to Schneider Electric: an interdisciplinary and practical experience for EMSCO participants

28 January 2025

The participants of the Executive Master in Supply Chain and Operations at Bologna Business School visited the Innovation Hub of Schneider Electric in Casalecchio. A unique opportunity to explore topics related to energy monitoring, data centers, and sustainability, through an experiential approach and direct dialogue with industry experts.

The day began with a tour of the Innovation Hub, allowing participants to discover the company’s innovative solutions, a symbol of excellence in the field of energy management. Subsequently, Roberta Cerqua, Sales Engineer, opened the session with an introductory speech, highlighting Schneider Electric’s commitment to sustainability and technological innovation.

The core of the experience was the group workshop, where participants collaborated on practical cases related to energy management and sustainability. It was not only a formative moment but also an opportunity for networking and direct engagement with the company professionals: Giorgia De Tommasis, Sustainability Advisor, Silvia Dellabella, Sales Specialist, and Giulia Tonini, Sales Engineer, who shared insights and challenges from the field.

To conclude the event, a final speech synthesized the key takeaways, providing participants with a clear vision of the opportunities that the interaction between technology, sustainability, and operations management can create for the companies of the future.

This visit represents a tangible example of the educational model of Bologna Business School: interdisciplinarity, practical approach, and connection with practice—direct engagement with companies and industry leaders—to shape professionals capable of tackling the challenges of the supply chain in global contexts.
