Last week, Bologna Business School had the honor of hosting the Medici Summer School in Management Studies, in collaboration with MIT Sloan School of Management and HEC Paris.
The Medici Summer School, organized annually on a rotating basis by the three founding institutions, offers a program of lectures and research seminars by prominent international scholars, actively engaging participating students.
The goal of the Medici Summer School is to promote advanced education in management studies, contributing to the development of excellence-based practices in organizational management.
Twenty-five PhD students in Management, Strategy, Organization Theory, Economic Sociology, and related disciplines from the USA and Europe participated. Eminent professors like Simone Ferriani (UNIBO & Bayes), Ezra Zuckerman Sivan (MIT Sloan), Mercedes Delgado (CBS), Juan Alcácer (HBS), Emilio J. Castilla (MIT Sloan), Rudi Durand (HEC), Abhishek Nagaraj (Haas), Catherine Magelssen (LBS), and Gino Cattani (NYU) contributed, making the program even more engaging.
The 16th edition of the Medici Summer School, held at BBS from June 23 to June 28, 2024, explored the theme “Space and Place in Organizational Thinking,” offering a unique opportunity for immersion in the most advanced innovation and research.
