XVII Alumni Reunion: imagining the future, together
21 August 2025On September 12 and 13, 2025, the global Bologna Business School Community returns home. Two days to reunite, reconnect, be inspired. But most of all, to imagine.
The XVII Alumni Reunion is more than just a pleasant occasion spent in good company, among meaningful conversations, relaxed settings, excellent food and warm handshakes. It is a moment when personal and professional relationships intertwine in an open, authentic, and profound dialogue. A moment suspended in time, where Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and partners gather to reflect on who we are and who we want to become. In the unique spaces in BBS, from the New Campus to the historic Villa Guastavillani—deeply rooted in the past and future-oriented—where every journey begins with a question and evolves through encounters that leave a lasting mark.
This year’s theme is imagination: a space of possibility to be cultivated in order to face a rapidly changing world. Because to imagine is not to escape reality, but to anticipate it. It means training the eye to recognize opportunities where others see obstacles. It means combining intuition and expertise to shape the future with courage, determination, and passion.
The XVII Alumni Reunion program is designed to spark ideas, stimulate connections, and make the shared experience truly memorable. On Friday evening, the dinner curated by Massimo Spigaroli and Trattoria Amerigo will open the doors to a night of conviviality, music, and connection, with a live performance by Smoma and a DJ set by Andrea Pontremoli, CEO of Dallara and creative soul of our community.
On Saturday, between the New Campus and Villa Guastavillani, we will create space for inspiration and reflection. A power breakfast to begin the day together, followed by a managerial meditation led by Father Antonio Spadaro. Then, a series of thematic workshops will offer the chance to hear from voices who are reshaping the present: from Michele Antoniazzi, CHRO of Ferrari, to Alec Ross, Distinguished Professor in BBS, alongside pioneers in AI, entrepreneurship, longevity, fashion, and leadership—such as Barbara Carfagna (RAI anchorwoman), Giovanni Domenichini (investor), Massimiliano Magrini (founding partner, United Ventures), Ettore Messina (head coach, Olimpia Milano), Andrea Pontremoli, and Gaia Rialti (CEO and founder, Menabòh).
In the afternoon, a conversation between Max Bergami, Dean of BBS, and Emanuele Orsini, President of Confindustria—moderated by Agnese Pini, Editor-in-Chief of Quotidiano Nazionale—will offer a high-level and tangible synthesis of the key themes discussed throughout the day.
And then? Then we’ll imagine… piadine. Because even informal moments are part of what makes the BBS Community unique: a vibrant network where every encounter can spark a new project, a new idea, a new friendship.
Taking part in the XVII Alumni Reunion means celebrating what brings us together: a passion for learning, a drive to contribute, a desire to multiply opportunities. It’s a chance to reignite our sense of belonging and relaunch our impact on the world.
