A new beginning for the participants of the MBA Weekend, who launched this exciting journey with two days of advanced training and exchange at Villa Guastavillani, part of the BBS Multicampus, nestled in the Bolognese hills.
The Kick Off marks a key moment in a learning experience that, over the course of 18 months, will guide managers and professionals through a path of deep personal and professional growth. A transformation rooted in the School’s interdisciplinary approach, the quality of its faculty, and constant interaction with the business world.
The event was opened by Mariachiara Colucci, Academic Director of the Master, Associate Professor at the Department of Management of the University of Bologna, and lecturer in Business Strategy in the MBA programs. Professor Colucci welcomed the participants by highlighting the value of a program that combines academic rigor with strategic vision, aiming to develop the cross-functional skills required by contemporary leadership.
Alongside her, Andrea Cinti Luciani, Executive Director of the program, Managing Director at SiliCon Health and Economics and Strategy lecturer, shared his vision of an MBA that blends knowledge and action:

The Kick Off program featured a Crash Course in Economics led by Emanuele Bacchiega, Associate Professor of Political Economy at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Bologna, expert in Microeconomics and Theory of the Firm. An opportunity to build a solid foundation for the modules ahead.
The core of the two-day event focused on the “Strategy and Business Modeling” module, delivered by Mariachiara Colucci and Andrea Cinti Luciani, providing participants with the tools to understand and design effective business models capable of supporting strategic decisions in complex and ever-changing environments.
The first day concluded with a session dedicated to the Mentoring Program, featuring Davide Caramico, Head of Americas Business Development, Digital Partnership Money Transfer at Ria. His talk enriched the participants’ experience with insights drawn from a concrete and dynamic professional journey, offering a keen perspective on the global market.
