As part of the Smart Week, the closing event of the Hybrid MBA at Bologna Business School, participants took part in a company visit to Bonfiglioli S.p.A., an Italian industrial group and global leader in power transmission solutions, specialized in gear motors, inverters, and drive systems.
The morning of June 30 began with a tour of the production facilities, offering a close-up view of industrial processes and the operational approach of a company that blends technological innovation, sustainability, and global vision. A corporate speech followed, highlighting Bonfiglioli’s strategic challenges and the role of leadership in driving digital and sustainable transformation in the manufacturing sector.
The visit was part of a broader program of experiential activities designed to strengthen managerial skills in real-world contexts and foster an adaptive mindset. This was the focus of a dedicated training session led by Marco Marchegiani, skills trainer and business coach.
The activities also included a Business Game held at the new BBS Campus and conducted by Nicola Tomesani, Professor of Marketing at the University of Bologna, which engaged participants in a strategic simulation based on complex competitive scenarios.
The Smart Week concluded in the inspiring setting of Villa Guastavillani with a second Business Game session and two Alumni Speeches. Martina Del Costello, Managing Director at SSM Business Unit, and Davide Uberti, Client Success & Partner Sales Lead at Unobravo, shared their post-MBA journeys, offering insights into the professional experiences and strategic choices that have shaped their careers.
In line with the interdisciplinary approach of Bologna Business School, Smart Week offered a concrete opportunity to connect the knowledge gained during the Master with direct engagement with industry champions such as Bonfiglioli, a leader in advanced mechanics. An experience that reinforces BBS’s commitment to shaping leaders capable of generating impact, innovating, and guiding change.
