GOALS

The Master in Data Science and Business Analytics trains managers who can combine artificial intelligence and data analysis to address business challenges. Offering a multidisciplinary curriculum, the program focuses on advanced data analysis techniques such as machine learning, Python and SQL programming, and descriptive and inferential statistics. Based in Bologna, home to the Leonardo supercomputer, the Master prepares students for key roles in the international landscape, supported by the strong BBS network and Career Service, with a placement rate of over 90% six months after graduation. Taught in English and lasting 12 months, the program includes 6 months of internship with global companies, providing a solid foundation for entering the job market.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Young graduates from all disciplines who want to learn how to turn data into business decision making and strategies, building a solid base for a career focused on data analytics.

In addition to lectures, the Master’s program includes coaching sessions, company visits, meetings with industry leaders, and opportunities for discussion with the international BBS network composed of the School, stakeholders, partner companies, and alumni.

One of the strengths of the Master in Data Science and Business Analytics is its transversality: those who join this path will have all the skills to become a connection point in the company, performing various functions and becoming the key point of decision-making steps.

With the sessions dedicated to business communication techniques alongside more specific classes, managers trained in BBS can aspire to positions as Data Scientist, Data Analyst Consultant and Business Intelligence Manager, among others.

The integration with companies is a priority and an ever-present feature of all programs of the Bologna Business School, hence for the Master in Data Science and Business Analytics too.
The School is fully committed to creating employability, by way of a systematic career service action, constantly focused on matching at best the students’ professional projects with the needs companies have.
The internship is an exceptional springboard, suffice it to say that six months after the end of the full-time masters at Bologna Business School on average 90% of students work in a company.

The BBS Career Service assists and supports students since the very beginning, along a training and professional development path. This is accomplished by organizing a series of workshops, with the aim of providing the fundamental tools and resources to be appropriately prepared for the labor market.
The goal of the Career Service is also to allow students to connect with national and international companies. Over the years, Bologna Business School has managed to establish a wide-ranging network and a sound partnership with leading companies in Italy, thanks to a personalized approach, based on each company’s needs.
