As part of the Smart Week, a key component of the Hybrid MBA at Bologna Business School, participants took part in an in-depth company visit at Cefla, an industrial group with over 90 years of history and an international leader in the multibusiness sector.
The day began with a plant tour through Cefla’s production facilities, where students had the opportunity to observe first-hand the manufacturing processes, advanced technologies and operational organization of one of the most representative companies in the Emilia-Romagna region. The guided visit offered a perspective on innovation not only as a technological output, but as a strategic mindset embedded across all business functions.
Following the tour, the corporate training session provided a direct insight into the group’s strategic pillars: multibrand portfolio management, internationalization, innovation culture and the application of predictive technologies. Cefla’s Managing Directors and General Manager guided students through the company’s main business areas – from medical equipment to finishing and plant engineering – illustrating the principles that drive growth, differentiation and long-term development.
The initiative fits perfectly within the interdisciplinary approach of the Hybrid MBA, designed to combine digital tools, managerial vision and hands-on engagement with businesses. In this context, partnerships with companies like Cefla offer a tangible learning opportunity, where theory and practice meet to generate applicable insights, new scenarios and advanced competencies.
