Executive Master in AI for Business: a community in action at the first residential
31 March 2025The first residential of the second edition of the Executive Master in Artificial Intelligence for Business brought together participants and Faculty on campus to explore the strategic role of artificial intelligence in business contexts.
An intense opportunity for exchange, learning and networking within the unique environment of Bologna Business School, where innovation meets the practical world of enterprise.
In an era where AI is deeply reshaping processes, business models and markets, training managers capable of leading the adoption of these technologies has become a strategic priority. The Master was designed to respond to this challenge: to provide advanced tools to understand, evaluate and integrate AI into business processes, with a multidisciplinary approach combining management, data science, law and sustainability.
During the residential, participants explored these themes through a mix of classroom learning and hands-on field activities. In addition to lectures, the program included company visits to Dinova and the Tecnopolo Bologna, home to Leonardo, one of the most powerful supercomputers in the world. These visits offered a direct look at how AI is already making a real impact across key sectors such as fashion, manufacturing, logistics and the public sector.
The experience was further enriched by conversations with Faculty, peer dialogue, and direct interaction with managers and innovators from Datalogic, Max Mara, and Mohawk Industries. A way to make learning even more tangible and to multiply opportunities for personal and collective growth.
The Master is aimed at entrepreneurs, managers and professionals who want to understand and harness the transformative potential of AI without putting their career on hold. With 33 evening sessions, a flexible part-time format and two residentials on campus, the program combines academic rigor, practical application and the development of a valuable network.
This first residential marked a key moment in igniting dialogue across disciplines, people and businesses — in true generative education spirit. A community growing together, sharing visions, challenges and projects. Because at BBS, every learning journey is a chance to multiply opportunities.
