Marco is an active entrepreneur, professor, investor and Strategic Advisor. 
Marco is founder of ventures in Europe, China and North America in the field of Nutrition, Health and Wellness and Performance Management (Altrove Innovation, AIM Feedback, Mixfit, Bioloopers, Pio World) where he undertook C-level positions. He was a long-time member of the Open Innovation team of Nestlé and part of the team behind Nespresso®.
Marco has a PhD in Agricultural Biotechnology, a Master of Science in Food & Nutrition and a Master in Business Administration. He has several scientific publications and patents. He teaches courses on food systems, Nutrition, innovation methodologies and entrepreneurship.
He is interested in the holistic concept of health and wellness which justifies his additional passion for Yoga, Philosophy, Spirituality, Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. He is an entrepreneur by heart, moved by the will of helping create a more sustainable world.

COURSES

From Farm to Fork, it is critical today to help sustainable food companies to have a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles and advancements in food industry. Accelerating innovation means learning how to build a food system that produces healthy, sustainable food for all. Achieving innovation in global food systems requires an understanding of food chemistry, flavor, and processing. This module will introduce the complex interactions between food components, their transformations during processing, and their impact on sensory properties and human health. The course provides insights into developing functional foods and dietary guidelines for improved well-being and disease prevention.
