Over the years, the hotel industry has evolved and grown steadily. Hotel operations have become more complex, and the responsibilities of a hotel manager have changed profoundly over time. Although automation has greatly increased the efficiency of various processes, the hospitality industry faces several challenges. The growth of the sharing economy and short-term rentals has increased competition and led to a greater need for pricing strategies. On the demand side, more personalized and technology-driven services are needed to meet rising customer expectations. On the supply side, retention and recruitment of talented staff are the most crucial issues. Sustainability is definitely the most discussed topic from different perspectives; such as customer needs, investments, cost savings, compliance with environmental policies.
The Open Program in Hotel Management is built on the following pillars: (1) Revenue Management, with a focus on applying revenue management methods to maximize hotel profits; (2) Digital Marketing, tools to improve online visibility and measure hotel performance online; and (3) Digitization and Sustainability, approaches and practices to keep up with customer and industry needs.
The program is aimed at hoteliers who currently work in small and medium-sized facilities and wish to increase their skills in the areas of marketing and management.
This program aims to provide them with a practical approach in dealing with urgent topics in the industry and help them understand the processes with examples and practices. The course aims to support hoteliers’ decisions in various areas of management operations.
The course is structured in 8 educational sessions in hybrid mode, concentrated over the weekend.
Participants will be involved in interactive individual and group activities culminating in a final business game. They will have the opportunity to engage with faculty from diverse backgrounds.
