The Professional Master in Marketing Management 2024/25 at Bologna Business School officially began with a kick-off day that brought together students, faculty, and staff for an experience designed to lay the foundation for a rich and impactful educational journey.
The event took place in the stunning setting of Villa Guastavillani, the historic home of Bologna Business School, and included moments of reflection, learning, and connection. The day was opened by Gabriele Pizzi, scientific director of the master in marketing management, who welcomed students to the Aula Magna and outlined the goals and unique value of the program.
Also impactful were the contributions from alumnae Martina Domenica Marano, junior brand manager at Alfasigma Italia, and Beatrice Floriani, international trade marketing specialist at Gruppo Montenegro. Through their personal stories, they gave the new students a concrete perspective on how their experience at Bologna Business School helped shape their careers and prepare them for the challenges of the professional world.
Their testimonials served as an important source of inspiration, showing how BBS’s interdisciplinary approach and its close ties between academic learning and the business world represent a winning combination for those who aspire to make a mark on the global professional landscape.
Following the kick-off day, a team-building activity was held at the Sanctuary of San Luca in Bologna, offering students a powerful experience of personal and group growth. This session, designed to encourage collaboration and cohesion, involved not only students from the Master in Marketing Management but also those from the Master in Business Management and the Master in Finance, Control and Sustainability, creating an opportunity to strengthen relationships between three BBS communities that share similar ambitions and values.
Participants engaged in dynamic and engaging activities that highlighted the importance of mutual trust, effective communication, and teamwork. The choice of the Sanctuary of San Luca as the location was no coincidence: the path leading to this iconic Bologna landmark has always symbolized determination and unity, values that perfectly reflect the spirit of the BBS community.
At the end of the session, a debriefing moment allowed participants to share their reflections on the experience, further consolidating the sense of belonging and cohesion within the group.
