Fadzai Valen Nyamusamba: “BBS has opened the doors to multiple opportunities.”
18 December 2017My Name is Fadzai Valen Nyamusamba. I am from Zimbabwe and I am a student of the Master in HR & Organization.
I possess a Cumlaude Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and prior to joining Bologna Business School, I worked for two years in the Human Resources Department of a major telecommunications company. In this capacity, I performed a variety of tasks and responsibilities. As a result, I began to think more critically about my professional development and recognized I needed additional high-level education if I was to fulfil my ambitions.
I started researching a plethora of universities that offered practical learning modules which would enhance my professional skill sets and expand my knowledge of fields related to Human Resources. It is primarily for these reasons that I selected BBS.
BBS offered me the opportunity to fully explore and immerse myself in a broad range of professional interests and to explore different career opportunities. It also provided me with a very strong business education that equips students with the skills that public and private sector institutions require from employees. This pragmatic knowledge is complemented by BBS’ emphasis on instructing students on business theories.
My participation in this Master has been an amazing experience. The support I received from the BBS Career Service team was incredible. Every day presented an opportunity to learn through lessons, webinars, group projects, company visits and regular team work assignments. All of these activities helped me to study and work with people of different cultures and ethnicities. The BBS Community is the most important factor to me as I’ve really enjoyed forming new relationships that I will value for life.
The most remarkable memories I have at BBS was winning this year’s Bar – Raisers Award which is awarded by the Italian Association of Human Resources Management (AIDP). This prestigious award consisted of a study tour to France and a visit to a multinational company in Paris. This was a dream come true and I am so grateful that BBS opened many doors of opportunity and has equipped me with numerous possibilities to unleash my potential of greatness.
