Anna Raffoni is Associate Professor in Accounting and Finance and Director of the MSc Finance Programs at Loughborough University School of Business and Economics.Prior to taking up this role, she was Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Business Performance of Cranfield School of Management. She was involved in a multi-disciplinary research project funded by EPSRC and entitled: “”Transformation to servitized organizational forms””.

Before moving to UK, she was Lecturer in Management Accounting at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Bologna.
After completing her MS in Business Administration at the University of Bologna, Anna was awarded PhD in Management Accounting (Customer value management) at the University of Florence.

Anna’s research interests mainly concern two areas: performance management systems (PMS) and strategic management accounting (SMA). An underlying theme that guides his research is the understanding of the role of PMS and SMA in changing contexts and the development and diffusion of innovative accounting systems in the private sector. His work has been published in important scientific journals such as: European Journal of Operational Research, British Accounting Review, Production, Planning & Control and Omega.

Executive MBA English edition

This course provides the relevant knowledge for comprehending and managing a business financial performance. Specifically, it focuses on the measuring and understanding of financial and value creation ratio, on cost analysis for business decision making on performance measurement systems for supporting implementation and monitoring of business strategy. The course finally provides an analytical perspective of business analysis.

The course aims to provide the basic skills necessary to: understand the economic-financial aspects of management; analyze the economic-financial performance of a company; utilize cost information to analyze efficiency and efficacy of company processes; manage costs during the project phases; and understand the role of budgeting control as a guiding operational mechanism for complex organizations.
