Danilo Montesi is Full Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Information Science at the University of Bologna. His main focus is on information systems and databases, on which he has over 80 publications. He has had a large number of professional and academic experiences abroad, in places such as: University of Lisbon, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (Didcot, UK), Imperial College (London, UK), University of Trondheim (Norway). From 1996 to 2000 he was a Professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Milano, he has taught at the East Anglia University and the University of Camerino. He obtained a Ph.D in Computer Science at the University of Pisa.
