Ms. Maria Lamelas Godinez is a Manager in the areas of research, performance evaluation, recruitment and is also an Executive Coach. As of 2017 she is Head of Recruiting for the Salini Impregilo group, an Italian multinational leader of the construction sector, with more than 35.000 employees around the world. While of both Spanish and Brazilian origin, she is educated in Italy and obtained a Bachelor’s in Political Economy at La Sapienza, University of Rome. She continued in Rome with a Master in International Economy at the University of Tor Vergata and upon graduating her focus went towards research and lecturing in Political Economics and Macroeconomics at the University La Sapienza, Rome. In parallel she worked as an Economic Advisor for the Italian Ministry of Economy, specialized in areas such as the Italian Labour market and International Economy. Moving towards the corporate, in 2007 she delved into the world of recruiting at Spencer Stuart (an American multinational leader in Executive Search), where she grew to a Senior Associate and later Recruiting Coordinator for the EMEA region. Her career at Spencer Stuart ended with her taking up the reins of the recruitment at Salini Impregilo in early 2017. She holds the course in Recruitment & Onboarding together with Francesco Rossi.
