Bringing Italian Talents to the Silicon Valley (…and return) is the title of the 2015-16 edition of the Fulbright Best Program.
The Fulbright Program was created by Senator J. William Fulbright in 1946 to promote the peace process through the exchange of ideas and culture between the United States and other nations. The Fulbright Program in Italy promotes study, research, and teaching opportunities in Italy and in the United States through the Fulbright scholarships for Italian and American citizens since 1948 (130-140 scholarships per year) .
The focus of the 2015-2016 edition is the BEST (Business Exchange and Student Training) scholarship program, with the aim of offering Italian citizens who manage to present a particularly innovative technology transfer project the opportunity to attend intensive courses in Entrepreneurship and Management at Santa Clara University, California. The training also provides a period of internship at Silicon Valley companies to acquire the skills needed to launch and manage their own startups .
