He has received numerous international awards (AIGA, D&AD, ADI, Graphis, Good Design, ART-ER, etc.) and held university lectures in over 30 countries.
Co-curator of the FutureDesignEd Symposium of the University of Bologna. Twice nominator for The Sir Misha Black Medal and Award for Innovation in Design Education.
From 2014 to 2016 President of the Content and Design Committee of the Philatelic and Numismatic Bureau of the Republic of San Marino. In 2012 he was on the board of directors of IDA (International Design Alliance).
From 2007 to 2012 he served on the board of directors of ICoD-International Council of Design as vice president and chair of the education activities. From 2009 to 2012 he was founding editorial director of Iridescent, the ICoD Journal of Design Research and co-editor of the book ICoD Design Education Manifesto 2011, sharing the council’s vision of the future of design education.
In 2007 Taschen dedicated a section of the book Contemporary Graphic Design to his work.
